Taking HYDRATION to new levels.
Gatorade and Tether create a hydration system that takes customization to a new level and allows athletes to PERSONALIZE LIKE A PRO.
MORE THAN JUST A NUMBER
Athletes (just like other people) are all different, with different hydration needs and personal tastes. Gatorade’s Gx system addresses those needs with a highly customized delivery of sports fuel that rethinks everything from the formula to the bottle it comes in.
DESIGN LEADS EXPERIENCE
The Gx system combines concentrated Gatorade formulas in pods that attach to a special bottle. A piercer cap punctures the pod, allowing the formula to mix with water in a clear bottle that shows the interaction between concentrate and water. Pro, college and high school athletes got pilot versions of the bottle to test out design iterations and get real-world feedback.
CUSTOMIZED FROM THE INSIDE OUT
Gatorade saw that athletes value personalization beyond hydration—but also in their hydration tools (aka, the bottle). With the pods, consumers can pick between different flavors (and soon formulas) to use based on what kind of athlete they are. The bottle itself also offers ways to customize—like choosing the color of the TPE grip panel, unique ID ring designs and the option to add their name or number to the ring and custom designs for team logos—which any athlete who’s had to sort out his or her equipment from teammates’ on the sidelines will appreciate.
