A bit about the role:

Tether is seeking a full time Creative Recruiter/HR Generalist to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a couple years of experience recruiting who also has experience working in HR or wants to gain more exposure. In this role you will be responsible for full lifecycle recruiting, onboarding, administering Tether benefits, executing various HR/Operational initiatives, and are trusted resource for employee matters. An ideal candidate will have experience working in a creative industry, or has an interest in learning it, and approach all interactions with good customer service while promoting a positive, trusted, helpful and friendly environment.

 

  • Manage all recruiting efforts including: sourcing/screening candidates, partnering with managers to scope staffing needs, hiring for diversity, manage the interviewing process, manage offers and the on-boarding process for new hires and contractors.
  • Represent Tether as the first point of contact and ensure a positive experience all the way through the hiring and onboarding process.c
  • Support the day-to-day studio functions, as needed, ensuring things are running as smooth and efficient as possible.
  • Independently manage various projects or initiatives that impact the greater Studio and/or employees, including team events + projects.
  • Own and manage a bi-annual HR/Employee check-in process.
  • Understand and be aware of all Tether benefits, policies, and HR services to be a knowledgeable resource for the employees.
  • Manage all benefit administration including enrollment/terminations, benefits reporting, and census.
  • Partner with the Operations Director on the benefits open enrollment process and selection and suggest ideas on enhancements based on on-going employee conversations and learnings from the recruiting process.
  • Maintain the HR manual and ensure it is up to date with the annual changes and current processes.
  • Have an understanding of the overall operations and business needs of an evolving design studio.
  • Maintain the utmost confidentiality at all times in regard to all business and employee information; including revenue, salaries, hourly rates for contractors, employee matters, etc.
  • Be a trusted resource for employees and bridge topics between employees and management.
  • Work to develop and grow employee relationships, while providing a people-first rapport.

 

*This is a hybrid role with a defined mix of work from home/in studio.

What we'd like to
see from you:
  • 2-4+ years of recruiting experience with a minimum of 1-2 years recruiting in the creative industry (at an agency, design studio or in-house creative department) with a demonstrated track record of filling a variety of roles across all levels in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have some experience working in Human Resources.

A bit about the role:

Tether is seeking a freelance Senior UX Designer to work on various projects and can be 100% remote. You will work under the collaborative direction of the Creative Director and/or Associate Creative Director operating across several disciplines involved in providing a positive user experience, including IA, UI Design, and IxD. Our creatives are involved from the very start to the very end of products.

 

  • Provide ideas, concepts and designs that that respond to the briefed objectives with a strong understanding of user experience, interaction design and creative collaboration
  • Work with clients in a professional manner across all projects, regardless of level of involvement
  • Partner with team members across disciplines (brand, copy, video, production, project management, etc.), looking for ways to improve creative work and processes to create compelling digital brand experiences
  • Display and continue to develop professional-level creative execution for interactive media. Display competency for tools and techniques to deliver on branded interaction and user experience design.
  • Display and continue to develop a solid understanding of online digital production execution, digital production techniques and developer integration, including delivering complete, orderly files to the development team, through production design files with redlines.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of browser and device limitations.
  • Ability to provide optimized digital assets to the developers in order to produce the digital experience
  • Manage digital assets needed to complete the design of the digital experience
  • Consistently proof your work for quality and accuracy
  • Adhere to established schedules and budgets, alerting others when potential issues arise
What we'd like to
see from you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 5 years creating UX/UI flows from research to ideation to execution.
  • Experience creating user flows, prototypes, highly detailed wireframes and high fidelity mockups for digital storytelling experiences and responsive websites
  • Experience designing visual UI design solutions with information architecture, visual communication and hierarchy
  • Ability to collaborate with creative directors, designers, developers, and copywriters to create compelling digital brand experiences
  • Top notch basic Mac and Adobe Creative Suite skills
  • UX concepting and rapid prototyping experience via Adobe XD or Sketch
  • A basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and the mechanics of web and app development
  • Able to solve creative challenges in innovative ways
  • Able to consistently meet deadlines and maintain a positive attitude under pressure

You will be responsible for the development and execution of brand storytelling across a variety of mediums and projects including packaging, identity/branding, campaign work and digital. You will work under the collaborative direction of the Creative Director and/or Associate Creative Director.

 

  • Provide ideas, concepts and designs that effectively respond to the briefed objectives
  • Contribute thoughtfully and regularly in brainstorming and other creative sessions
  • Clearly articulate ideas and explain design rationales
  • Develop materials for internal reviews and client presentations; refine layouts, images, illustrations, typographic techniques, final art, etc.
  • Deliver creative work that meets the established standards of both Tether and the client
  • Consistently exceed creative and job performance expectations
  • Comply with all time tracking, purchasing, expense and production processes (Workamajig, etc.)
  • Expand your expertise with software and other relevant creative tools
