At Tether, we help brands define the human need that makes what they offer truly matter, through a unique approach that elevates story over style.
Tether was born in Seattle, 2008. We gave ourselves a name to reflect the enduring emotional connection we were determined to forge between brands and people, then set out to build our own creative playground, selling products we made, showing art, we curated and hosting all kind of community events and concerts.
A lot has changed since those early days. Throughout it all, we’ve remained steadfastly independent and wholly committed to being the kind of place we always wanted to work and the kind of creative partner we always wanted to work with.
Tether is seeking a Part-Time Freelance Writer for a long-term project. This role will be a key member of a team of creatives working with our Beauty client. You’ll be the writer for this ongoing project, crafting copy, participating in creative ideation and proofing materials developed for various platforms, from social, email and web to video, packaging, collateral and in-store — adhering to established brand voice guidelines across all work. You’ll participate in daily stand-ups to discuss priorities and workflow as well as in regular status meetings with stakeholders and their performance marketing agency.
This is a contract position with a hybrid schedule. While working on-site at the Tether studio on Tuesdays and Wednesdays is not required, it is encouraged to foster collaboration and alignment with the team.
Key responsibilities:
** We don’t necessarily expect candidates to check off every single item here. And we know this list doesn’t cover all the amazing (but relevant) qualifications you might bring to the job. Please tell us about any skills, experience, and talents you have that would make you a great candidate, even if we haven’t mentioned them here.
Compensation: $40 – $50 hourly DOE. Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position.
We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law. This freelance opportunity does not qualify for company benefits.
