So I've had tether for a year now. Never had issues except the occasional crash which is to be expected.Well, I updated a few months back when the new update came out (2 updates ago now) and suddenly tether would only work for about 20 to 30 minutes and I'd have to reboot my BlackBerry Curve AND laptop to get it to work again. I submitted a ticket and someone was telling me to do everything I had already done; reboot the black berry, reboot the laptop, reinstall the program on my phone and laptop... everything he told me to do, I had already done and I informed him of this, yet he kept doing it.
I took matters into my own hands since I apparently looked like I didn't know how to problem shoot to this guy. I looked on these same forums and found out others had been having the same issue. I realized it wasn't anything I WAS doing, it's the program. I found the old version of tether and re downloaded it and BAM! everything worked just fine again.
So, here I am last night trying to connect to a game I play (and have been playing for 5 years) via tether. Nothing wanted to load correctly. I started troubleshooting just like I did months ago, I went ahead and updated tether to the most up-to-date version and still had the issues. My current issue is that I don't believe submitting another ticket, waiting a week to be told to do the same thing I had already done, is going to be my course of action this time and a waste of my time. I'm relying on all you good folks to help me ( I hope)
Right now, I've been connected through tether for 25 minutes, yet only 4.060MB of data have been sent, while 16.552MB of data have been received! THIS IS ANNOYING.
So, thank you all to the ones who take the time to help me with this... If you've been through this then you understand the frustration.
(I didn't pay for a program that isn't going to work)
