Anyone get this working on anything but a pc like a GPS or XBox?
I don't see it working with a GPS. The XBox can be done though. This would require that the BB be connected to a PC, a network switch (some routers can be configured into simple switches), and one helluva Internet Connection Sharing setup.
I have used ICS and a switch years ago to share a dial-up connection to other PCs. Regardless of what kind of connection to the internet you have, it CAN be shared.
Search around the 'net for configuring ICS to share misc. internet connection types.
This should be really easy to do, i have been using my windows mobile phone to access xbox live for the last year. Just go to network sharing clock on properties and enable internet sharing. after that is done run an ethernet cable from the box to your pc. Turn on your xbox it might connect to xbox live right away. If it doesnt just test the connection and and it should connect. If it doesnt there is a still a problem with the udp part of tetherberry. I can get mine to connect for a few seconds then i get an error message on my phone. I have the same problem trying to download torrent files. I am still currently using my windows mobile phone until this is resolved.
I was under the impression that the unhandled exception you were getting was happening on the PC not the phone, but based on what you said above, it sounds like its on the phone?
If so, I have been not even been looking in the right code to try and solve your issue.
You are the only one I've heard report the issue though.
Awesome, thanks for the info...i just have to watch and make sure i dont use to much data...i dont want to send up any red flags
