Won't send email using MS Outlook

I just downloaded tetherberry and love it. But I can't send email with Outlook either. Has anyone figured this out? I've tried changing settings and nothing helps.
I use a yahoo email if this helps or if anyone can tell me what to change the settings to,

Over the Christmas holiday, I used tetherberry (hadn't downloaded the new version yet) and had similar trouble sending email using thunderbird.

I don't believe it's a mail server setting issue because it works fine when I connect my laptop to my home network. But when I connected using tetherberry, I had trouble.

It worked fine for the first half of my trip but then the last 4 days I couldn't send anything--I had to login to my mail server via webmail and send that way.

The latest version of Tether blocks the outgoing mail port (25). Tether support stated it was because of spammers. They also stated that they are not going to open that port back up. So if your using Tether, basically your screwed when it comes to sending email from a desktop client. Way to go.

I was having the same problem. I just switched my outbound mail server to use a secure port. Check with your mail provider to see if they have secure port access (usually requires authentication).

Use port 587 or a secure connection. If that doesn't work you need to ask your mail administrator for an alternative port.

Same problem can't send email through outlook. Recieve mail fine. I can send through yahoo. can this be fixed?

You may need to contact Yahoo for a alternate port for Outlook to send messages.
