I often turn off Bluetooth on my phone for security reasons, then when I try and get a Bluetooth connection to Tether it will fail.

What I was wondering is could the BlackBerry app warn you that Bluetooth is disabled when you select Bluetooth from the popup dialog on the app?

You would think after doing this enough times you would remember that you disabled Bluetooth but I never seem to, I go about diagnosing the problem for a few minutes then realize what I have done....I sometimes find out after I try and pair the phone again.

I know an app can check if Bluetooth is enabled in Android, but not sure about BlackBerry.

How did you get your bluetooth connection to work initially? I always know when my BB's bluetooth is disable because the blue signal light is not blinking.

I disabled that also ;)

As far as how to get it to work, look at your post in the other thread. (I asked you about your dongle)
