Hello,

I am new to TetherBerry and I followed all the instructions but when I go to run the software on my PC I am prompted with USB Client Error: Invalid Pointer. If anyone can assist me with this problem, I would appreciate it and sorry if this question has already been asked. Also if anyone has run into any trouble with VZW and their contract using TetherBerry, let me know.

There a couple people having this issue. Can you download and install the latest BlackBerry USB and Modem drivers from the RIM website and see if that helps?

Also, can you verify that you have a c:\program files\common files\Research in Motion\USB Drivers\BbDevMgr.exe file and can you check what version it is?

Thanks

I have the latest software for the storm 9530, so I should be ok there but where can I verify c:\program files\common files\Research in Motion\USB Drivers\BbDevMgr.exe? I tried plugging that in to "Target" under properties, tabbed shortcut but it does not seem to be working? But this is what orginally was in their:

"C:\Program Files\TetherBerry\TetherBerry.exe"

Any thoughts?

I have the leaked version 109 on mine and have the same problem. When I to to the RIM directory there is no USBDrivers folder. The BBDevMGr is located under Common Files/Research in Motion. Probably because my wife has a seperate setup on this computer. When I go to RIM and get the latest USB Driver file and run it it says I have a newer version that one and wants me to uninstall that. I didn't since the USB Driver file has older drivers than what I have currently. Been at this a couple of hours with no luck. So far a waste of $40. And why can't I subscribe to this topic to see if an answer occurs.

What is the required version for the c:\program files\common files\Research in Motion\USB Drivers\BbDevMgr.exe file ? I have 4.1.0.5 usb driver.
Thanks.

4.1.0.5 is that same version that I am using.

Some people have been able to resolve this problem by disconnecting the USB cable and then starting the application on both the phone and then the PC. Once they are both started they plug in the USB cable and it connects happily.

Let me know if that helps
