I will be upgrading from my storm to droid X. I can transfer my tether license at no cost correct?

Also, how stable is tether for the android OS?

There will be a small fee to transfer to Android devices.

It's fairly stable, but we are working out some other little bugs.

Really??

Why is there a fee for switching types of phones but not if you change to another blackberry?

Because it cost us money to develop the new software for the new platform. We don't charge for updates or features, so we think it's a fair deal.

When you buy Windows 98, they still charge you for every new version, as does most software.

Phankinson,
I dont mind paying a small fee (if it is less than the full cost $50).

Looking through the forums I see that Android tether is still in Beta.

Any chance I can get an invite to the beta testing?

I too moved from BB Storm to Samsung Galaxy S (VZW) 2 days ago. I really need tether.

Thanks

Would this fee apply to those of us who recently purchased Tether for the Blackberry Storm and are considering switching to the Droid X when it is released?
I obtained my Tether software within the past couple of months.
Thanks

I do not have an ETA on when our developers will send out the beta email once again.

If I hear anything I will certainly update you all.

Just moved to the X Myself. Would love to get tether running again. Sent in my beta app, hoping I can get in. I miss my data! Stuck at work behind a tracking wall and my phone was my only savior lol.

I had tether on my blackberry but now have the Droid X. I would love to continue using tether it has been a life saver, but not sure which way to request for my Droid. Do i go thru support since I have an account or thru the beta request? I also was wondering are you guys looking at making it work with the hotspot feature on the Droid X. I helped beta when it was tetherberry and would be happy to do so again with my droid.

I'm also waiting for beta, have been for a few weeks, I signed up for it. Is there an estimated time for when the actual version is coming out?

Looking forward to an actual release of the android version of this; I'll gladly pay the fee, so long as the android version gets an OSX software release. Right now, I've switched from the Storm to the Droid AND gotten the android beta, but it does me no good since I'm on a Mac. /sadpanda

I am dieing to get my tether back.

If it is going to be a lot longer maybe I will look into the pdanet program even though I don't want to!

Folks,
Last night, my home cable modem and router took a severe lightening strike shutting me down completely.
If I still had my BB Storm. I could have used your program to connect to the Net.
However, since I now have a Droid AND you have not provided us with access to either beta or information for upgrading. You are really letting us down in the customer service dept.

The autobot which has been seen in nearly every post out there as being very responsive has become very invisible in this thread and request.

Kindly update us!!
