I started testing Tether on my BB and everything works fine (beats paying the $10.00/month add-on to VZW). I haven't read anything in the forums leading me to believe that Verizon will charge any usage fee while I use Tether in the US.
However, I will soon travel to Europe and I have an international unlimited data plan. In essence, every call is charge $0.99 / min. but email and in-phone internet usage is unlimited with no overage or per MB fee. On the other hand, VZW has a prohibitive int'l data tethering add-on.
Soooo, if you add Tether and int'l data plan, I am theoretically looking at unlimited international internet access on my laptop! (sweet!) However, I would not be too kin on coming back from Europe to a bill of $1000.00 or more of data usage.
Has anyone tried that configuration before? Were you charged for int'l data usage? If I don't get feedback, I guess I will try to use Tether very briefly and see what happens. If no charge applies, I will post back.
