I am running Tether on my Droid. It works fine, but after an hour or so it always goes belly up and I have to shut down the app on the PC and the phone and restart both.

Today, I was tethered and noticed my network icon with the yellow exclamation in Windows 7 and I can't get web pages to load, so I go over and pick up my Droid and the CPU is at 100% and the OMAP sensor is reading 131 degrees Fahrenheit. I ran my task manager and killed the Tether app and the CPU immediately went back down and the phone began to cool off.

So, unfortunately, I will not be running the Tether application again until this has been fixed. This kind of thing has the potential to damage a phone.

Interesting... You're running the Motorola Droid?

I'll forward this to our engineer. I don't think we have had any other reports of this. If anyone else is experiencing this could you guys let me know?

I had the problem with losing connections after a while, the yellow exclamation point in windows on the Network icon in the taskbar, but no over heating.

Yes it was on the Motorola Droid.

To follow up on this, I have not had that problem since and I use your application almost every single day for many hours.

Thank you for the follow up, they are still ironing out the last few Android bugs before the release.
