I know that Tether does not run under Linux. I was wondering if anyone has gotten it to run either with Wine or in Virtual Box with XP as the guest OS? I downloaded the trial version yesterday and it works great on the work Mac. Both my personal computers are running Ubuntu and even a kludge to make it work would be a big win for me!!

Not 100% sure, I know our product has worked on VMWare and others. Wine and/or Virtual Box, not really sure.

Now I will have to give it a try in VirtualBox under Ubuntu.
For the record, I had no luck getting Tether to work with Wine. There were a ton of errors on installation. My 7-Day trial license expired before I had time to try it in Virtual Box. Has anyone tried running Tether with a Linux host and XP guest OS in Virtual Box?

I haven't gotten around to it yet, if I do I will definitely come back and let you know. If it works in VMWare it *should* work in Openbox.

Tether is driver level, so I doubt it would work in wine. Now for your question about a virtual machine I don't know, I would also like to know this, I'm just too lazy to give it a go.
