I know everyone wants support for apple, and this or that. The solution that would make everyone buy tether is personal hotspot support.
This would e accomplished by adding a hardware device like the cradlepoint phs100 etc. What needs to happen is native support on a hardware device for tether. No configuring my laptop, drop the wifi in the hotelnroom and surf. Ipad in the ca while travelling etc.
Both the hotspot makers and tether would benefit. No worrying about apple policy etc. This is the killer app for tether!!!!
Tether is looking into adding this feature in the near future.
