Tether Install crashes

When I try and install, I get an error that says
"System Administrator has set policies preventing this installation" The problem is that I get this error when logged in as administrator. WHen I click on OK with the error, the installation continues, though on 2 occasions it completely crashed my system with BSOD.

If the system does not crash, it will go through the rest of the installation, though my phone has a RED X next to it. Once completed, I try and start Tether, I get a missing WINUSB.dll error.

Win XP SP3

Please help!

Could you download WinUSB.dll from the following link:

http://dllcentral.com/winusb.dll/6.0.6000.16386/

Could you also save the file to :

c:\windows\system32

I have copied the file to windows\system32 Tether will run now but does not work. I uninstalled and tried to reinstall - same problem. I checked local policies and there is nothing that would block. I have tried logging in as myself (I have admin level priveleges) and as administrator - same error. What else gets installed in the installer? Something in there is preventing me from doing this in a very strange way.

Same problem. Windows XP Home. SP 3. Will there be a mac version soon?

I am having the same problem. I tried your suggestion above with the dll file and it did not work. I tried reinstalling the program and it still had a red x next to the driver for the incredible.
