I'm wondering if you guys have started on or plan on working on a version for the HTC Evo on Sprint. I'm a little miffed about Sprint charging an extra $10/month just to own the Evo, but I might go for it if my Tether will work, especially over wifi.
Also, is it possible to transfer a Tether for BlackBerry registration over to Tether for Android?
Thanks in advance,
Tyler
Tether for HTC Evo on Sprint
I was wondering the same thing. Not having Tether might make me keep my Blackberry.
The $10 add-on for the EVO also bumps you to unlimited 3G data instead of the 5GB limit. You also get faster 3G for whatever reason.
Now all we need is a Tether for EVO so we can make use of it!
Did you receive the Tether instructions for the Android?
I did, and am unable to get it to work, as I posted in the support forum.
I am awaiting communication on how to install, if one exists, an updated beta build.
I've been using tether with my BlackBerry Storm and Verizon as my server. I would like to switch back to Sprint and get the HTC EVO phone but I don't want to pay an extra $30 to use the phone to connect my computer to the web.
Is tether going to have a workable program for the EVO?
After checking a little more I'm not sure if I want the HTC EVO or the Samsung Epic but I know I want Tether on which ever I chose. Please let me know if it's available now or if it's planned to be available any time soon.
Tether currently works on the Android but is in beta stages. We hope to offically launch it soon.
I have a Samsung Epic and Tether works great with it. I just wish there was a Bluetooth version. I got used to that with my Blackberry.
Tether is probably the best value in America...thanks!!
We are looking into the possibility of adding this functionality to Tether in the future.

The extra $10 a month is for 4G access every one has to pay weather or not you live in a 4G area. Instead of just making the people that live in 4G area's pay there making every one pay. I'm sure when they come out with another 4G phone it will be the same, you'll have to pay $10 for that on too. From what I've seen even if you don''t live in a 4G area your 3G is alot faster.
