Sorry if this has already been answered. I travel out of the country quite a bit and have the bb global data plan. Will tether berry work while I am out of the country and if so it shouldn't charge for roaming since I have global data. Thanks

Hi,
I'm in Australia and purchased the software before I left. I also signed up for an international data plan. I have not had success with the software and I'm wondering if the carrier could be somehow filter the traffic. Let me know if I can fix this ASAP.

Hi. I wish I could've found a solution while I was there but I was only there for vacation. I believe the issue was that Vodafone requires an APN to access certain services and while I was there I was on their network.
I noticed that when I rebooted my phone I would get emails right away but after leaving it on for some time they wouldn't show up and I'd have to reboot it. I don't normally have to use an APN and the ones I was trying weren't really working.
From the Vodafone website I thought it said you have to get one when you get your plan and since I was roaming on Vodafone and didn't really have a plan I didn't feel like spending my vacation in a cell phone store explaining my weird circumstances.
If you find the answer I'd love to know about it but the odds of me returning to Australia soon are slim. Sorry. I guess the good news is I haven't had any problems while I've been in the US.

Note that not all global data programs are created equal. Tmobile is billing for everything that isn't mail. If you have a BES connection, they might not be able to see what is going on on the BES side. Whatever your plan, I would be frugal with your data consumption. High data usage is likely to attract attention. If you are using Firefox, download the free Flash and ad blockers. Disable automatic updates, etc.
This should work as we have people using it all over the world.
