Tether with Bell Canada CDMA - pay-per-use charges?

Hi all,

I've been reading the forums and noted multiple users who stated they've been charged for tethering with Tether. I've noticed that these users are on the new HSPA network; is or was this problem only isolated to the new HSPA network?

I am on Bell's CDMA network (the old network); can anyone confirm if they have or have not had any issues with being charged pay-per-use for using Tether on the old network?

The reason I ask is because I currently have an unlimited data student plan with no tethering so getting the Tether app would be worthwhile, or I could switch it to a 500 MB data student plan which includes tethering, which then I wouldn't need the Tether app.
