I am a new user of Blackberry Tether and it is awesome! It connects super fast and the download speeds are as fast as my wife's actual wireless modem.

I'm with you! Don't know why I waited so long to try this. Simple install. Worked perfect instantly with Win 7 Premium and BB Storm 1. Tiny app footprint on Storm for those worried about available memory. I'm on the Trial for one day and it is now a "must have". If I don't win a copy from crackberry.com I'm buying for sure. Wish there was a deal for one person to be able to buy a second license at a discount but otherwise no complaints. Would like to put it on my Storm and wife's curve at the same time so I could use either phone when needed. Still, even $100 is cheaper than paying Big Red an extra $15 every month for a "Business Plan".

I agree, the Big Red plan is really a $30 extra cost since you have to upgrade PLUS the $15 per month charges.

I couldn't agree more with all of you. We got Tether just after Christmas for my wifes Storm. I couldn't believe how simple the program was to install and operate. The $50 purchase price is really a steal for what you get. I have a Windows Mobile phone so I am waiting for Tether to start Beta testing for that platform. Until then I have to use PdaNet, which is "okay" but not as stable or as fast as Tether.

I wouldn't call $50 a steal really, but it is worth the money since they changed their policy about changing your Tether to a different blackberry PIN.
Phones wear out, get lost, break, etc..etc..no need to charge us any more money for this fact of life and now they don't :)
Tether is awesome, I live in a place where I get those flyers that say "Dear dial-up customer" because I can't get anything but dialup in my area. Even though DSL is available to everyone around me..I live on a private lane :(

the only HUGE issue I have is, my poor blackberry died. They sent me a replacement and now I have no tether!
Yep, and its a shame! Because it seems a bit wrong to to pay to get it working again!!

You don't have to pay again buddy, thats what I was saying...they USED to charge you to change phones.
You should be able to just enter your registration code on the new BlackBerry, if your having problems post a new thread stating your having problems changing to a new PIN.

Tether is a fantastic product! i use it to browse the web when i'm traveling. The speed is great, as fast as the VZW aircard but of course at $50 it's a much better deal!

I have pearl 8230 3G with 2GB SD mem card, Telus plan with 500MB per month, I want to play cards live is this a possiblility.

You should be able to play online games of that sort over Tether without problems.
Have you tried the Tether trial and had problems?

I have had Tether for 8 days now, it is great! As fast or faster than Verizon Broadband and easy to use. Like others, I can not believe I waited so long to try it.
