This is a great app. Worked "right out of the box" Faster than my home WiFi sad to say..

I use BB Desktop manager to sync my apps. I no longer see it installed. If i re-install BBM what effects will it have?

You should be able to re-install it. Just make sure to get the newest version.

I'm surprised that the previous one got removed somehow.

also have found is faster than my home wifi, which is AT&T Uverse. i am very surprised and happy with this app.

Glad to hear its faster. I highly don't recommend using it solely as your home connection though.
