"Start Tetherberry on the Blackberry" won't go away even after starting the software

Hi,

This problem is facing me after I finished installing the software on both ends. Tried on all 3 connection types; on Default or the 3rd one I get "connection successful" but on the PC side the dialogue box keeps prompting me to start the Tetherberry on the blackberry even though it's already started. When I try the direct connection type it says APN is not setup.

Can anyone help? I'm trying to use this on my Zain (Kuwait) blackberry Bold, and I've never been able to tether my blackberry to my PC for more than 2 years now (even on my previous 8800), so I was hoping the application would help.

same problem for me on the vodafone FRance network

the message start tetherberry on the blackberry doesn't go away

in the BB device, i have got "the connection was successful "

but in my windows laptop i got the message : "failed to communicate with the blackberry"

on the tetherberry ethernet adapter connection : network cable is not connected

Hi,

I'm on sfr France and I have the same problem...

I have this:

On my PC: start tetherberry on the blackberry

On my storm:

attempting a connection
out of memory
failed to locate the server
please exit the application via the menu and try again

my configuration:

Blackberry 9500
v4.7.0.151 (4.0.0.186)

Similar problem I'm with vodafone Australia tetherberry running on both storm - connection successful (using BES connection option) but on the laptop tetherberry say start blackberry even though its already running??
Any suggestions. (No response from support)

It appears your APN settings may not be set.

You will have to find your APN settings specific to your country and carrier, by visiting the following website:
http://www.webmessenger.com/support/APN.jsp

Please be aware that some carriers charge EXTENSIVE fees for APN usage. Use at your own risk!

I had the same problem (Zain Kuwait). I just changed the APN settings and things went well :)

Settings:
APN=pps
username and password left blank..
