The simple steps are following:

1. Pair the Tour with Mac as normally you do with any bluetooth device.

2. Install Mac version of tether, after successful install, you should see a Network Interface has been created under Network, called TetherBerry.

3. Install the Tether on the Tour, and start the Tether app, then select Bluetooth, your Tour should indicate it is waiting for bluetooth connection.

4. From the Mac, start the Tether app, select Bluetooth as well. A window will pop-up and indicate it is searching for bluetooth device.

5. You may need to turn on the "listen" option under Bluetooth menu for the first time, then select the device from the Mac pop-up window, and check the option box "Always use that device", then select "Connect".

6. That's all! Next time, your Tour should be listed in Mac pop-up windows when you start Tether, and select "Bluetooth" for quick connect.

7. For testing purpose, you can also select USB at both Tour and Mac side just to make sure connection via wireless service provider are working.

Make sure that you have the "Administrator" rights to the Mac. Otherwise, no network interface will be created.

That might be your root cause of the problem.
