Mac OS X 10.5.7. macbook 2.2 ghz core2duo and 4gb ram.
Phone is Sprint Blackberry 8830 World Edition with ver 4.5.0.135
This has been happening for quite some time now. And yes, I am using the newest version of of Tether. I just never had the time to write into tech support. But now i figure i need to get my money's worth. Anyway, using the USB connection, the tether app connects on both the phone and the macbook. Then it will start downloading maybe 1000 or even get up to 7000 packets received, and then the BB 8830 does a soft reset. IT CRASHES!!!!
I have reset my phone multiple times. I have restarted macbook multiple times. I have ensured that the BBDM for mac has been completely uninstalled and all those residual files gone. I've switched usb ports (only 2 on macbook) I still get the exact same problem.
Actually, this is a replacement phone also, and it was happening on my old 8830 as well.
What the heck is going on here? My other macbook applications and my other blackberry applications work flawlessly.
The bluetooth connection seems to connect properly also, and downloads a bunch of packets, but I cannot access the internet on a browser. It seems like the browser has something, but the connection is so slow, even google homepage does not show up. Then dis-connecting the bluetooth on the BB8830 is a challenge also. It freezes up and often times I must do a battery pull.
Does this by any chance have anything to do with me having pathfinder 5.1.0 (596) on my mac desktop? I cant explain this as it is very strange.
Several months ago when I first got tetherberry, it was not working, then it finally started to work, and then it stopped working again and I just didn't have the time to submit dozens of support tickets. But now I really would like to get tether working again. If there is no obvious fix, I would like to setup an appt for support to mikogo.com with my desktop and we look at the problem together.
