Was having a major problem getting my 8330m from Sprint to actually connect to the net with Vista 64. I was still getting that "Error 678". Went in to "Network Connections" and right clicked on "Local Area Connection" and "Wireless Network Connection" (one at a time of course) and clicked "Disable". Tetherberry picked right up and I was off to the races!
Hope maybe this helps anyone else that may experience the same problems.
