Samsung Galaxy and Windows 7 PC

I have a Samsung Galaxy (Epic) from Sprint. I have been running it without a problem on my old laptop which has Windows XP Pro. I recently purchased a new laptop, that runs Windows 7 Pro and I cannot get it to work. When I run Tether, it allows me to choose Android and USB. Then it says connected to Android, however, I get no Connection to the internet and no data moves.

Please Help

BTW, the log reads:

Could not create the TCP socket to:
/192.168.25.1:80 Err: Java.net ConncetException:
/192.168.25.1:80 - Network Unreachable
SocketTimeoutException: Socket is not Connected

1.) On your Android click Settings -> Applications and place a check in the box for "Unknown sources" then click Development and place a check in the box next to "USB debugging".

2.) On your Android click Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications -> click Tether in this list and select Uninstall.

Download and install Tether from the following link please:

I did what you suggested, but I get the same thing. I noticed that my tether connection has a red X on my windows 7 laptop, even after I connect. I also know that on my windows xp laptop that TBService.exe is running in the processes section of my Task Manager, however it is not running on my Windows 7 laptop. When I double click the TBService application, I get a window flash, but the TBService.exe never shows up in my Task Manager.

I did as you suggested but I still have the same problem. When I check my network connections, I have a RED X in the tether ethernet adapter, even when I start up tether on my laptop.

When I check my Windows Task Manager, I have Tether.exe running, however, I do not have TBservice running.

When I go to tether in my program file, and I click the tbservice icon, I get a flash window and tbservice momentarily shows up in my task manager under processes, then it disappears from processes.

Suggestions????

uninstalled tether at the device manager, (there were two listed) and reinstalled. Now it connects, but will not connect to the internet. Windows 7 laptop diagnosis says cannot connect to DNS.

Please help
