Problem with Trial Version of Tether

I have a Blackberry Storm using OS 4.7.0.148 and an Asus eee 1101 using Windows XP Operating system.

A month ago, I used a trial version of tether and it worked perfectly. However, soon after purchase, it stopped working. When I connected by USB, it would make the connection, but no packets would ever be sent. I worked with Tech Support and was not able to resolve the issue, so I got a refund.

Shortly after that, tether upgraded to a new version, and I asked if I could have another trial to see if the problem had been resolved. I used the trial verison to connect my Blackberry Storm to my work PC and it worked perfectly. This seems to confirm that there is not an issue with the Blackberry or the USB cord.

However, when I try to use it on the netbook, it still will make the connection, but not send any packets or allow the use of the internet.

How can I troubleshoot this issue on my netbook within the 7 days of my trial, so that I can get it working and purchase tether.

Uninstall Tether, reboot your PC, right click the setupdrv.exe and run as administrator.

Make sure you have your wifi disabled.

If this does not work could you provide a screenshot of your network adapters?

On your BlackBerry I need you to go into the Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> highlight Tether in this list and hit the BlackBerry key then select "Delete". Remove the battery from your BlackBerry for one minute then place battery back into device and let boot. When the phone gets finished rebooting I need you to go to the following address in the BlackBerry web browser:

http://tether.com/t/tether.jad

On your PC I need you to uninstall Tether, reboot the PC, and download the Tether desktop PC software from the following link:

http://tether.com/t/setupdrv.exe

Right click the setupdrv.exe file and choose "Run as administrator" to give the needed rights for Tether to install properly.

Disable the wifi on your PC if equipped.

Once the software finishes installing and you have your wifi disabled you should now connect a USB cable from your PC with Tether installed to your BlackBerry with Tether installed, launch the PC Tether application by double-clicking the blue "t" Tether icon on your desktop and selecting USB from the dialog that your shown, now on the BlackBerry launch Tether by clicking the blue "t" Tether icon and selecting USB from the dialog that your shown. You should now be connected to the internet and should be able to use any internet enabled application on your PC, web-browsing for example.
