Problem with email verification on a Verizon 8330 Curve

We are trying to install tether on a Verizon 8330 Curve and the software will not take any email address. The phone is using our company's BES server for email.

1. I tried a different email account.
2. Pull the battery and hard reset the phone.
3. Uninstall the app on the phone and reinstalled.
4. Font size to 8 in order to see the complete screen when installing on phone.

Error message is "Invalid email address." How can I move pass this point in the install? Which ports or url does the software use to check the email address?

It sounds like you're not able to establish a connection with our server. Most likely this is because your BES server is blocking the connection. We are working on a new version that will allow users to skip this screen, but most likely our product still will not work on your system.

You could try one of our older versions and see if it establishes a connection:
