When I update my password in gmail on my BB, it tell me "invalid"
How do I change my password? I've changed it in my Tether account.

I have changed my gmail password. When I go to update my gmail password in my BB to change my password to receive my emails from gmail to my BB, it tells me that in is INVALID.

If I am understanding your post correctly, you are asking something that is not related to Tether application.
The "password" issue is most likely related to your carrier BIS (Blackberry Internet Service), and your BIS "service book" may not be updated or setup correctly on your device. You will need to contact your carrier, or log in your carrier specific BIS website to correct that.

You should not need to change your BlackBerry password to match your tether.com login.
Are you talking about your gmail account password? If so, you will need to change it on www.gmail.com website.
