Old problem returns in 1.1.0.2

Just upgraded to 1.1.0.2 on the VZW Storm and win7 x64 enterprise laptop.

In 1.1.0, there was an issue with laptops returning from sleep and not being able to receive any inbound packets (Tether packet counter shows continuing outbound packets but 0 inbound)

This was fixed in 1.1.0, but is now broken again in 1.1.0.2. I have to restart my computer for tether to work.

Any thoughts? How do I return back to 1.1.0?

I've forwarded this to our lead engineer.

Hi Patrick,

Any updates?

If, at a minimum, can you provide the older version so we can have a functioning version?

To be honest - the update is not working very well.

1. it use to work with my mac and bluetooth - after the upgrade can't find the phone.

2. Buttons are missing - figured one was history and help - but they are blank buttons.

3. on pc - its not stable any more - is there a way to go back to the other version.

Could you provide us with a screenshot? Overall the feedback we've received is it works well.

Sure - where do you want me to send you the screen shots - as well before the upgrade it was working much smoother - though out last night kept on hanging - almost like the data wasn't getting out - I will continue to monitor it tonight.

Can you upload it to something like imgur.com and post a link here. Make sure to remove any personal viewable information from the screenshot.

This means your trial has expired. If you want we can extend your trial but I'll need your BlackBerry Pin.

If this is a driver issue then it will take some time, I believe the driver code is written by another company (outsourced).

No, we do not outsource any development. The initial drivers were created by our engineering company.

I just upgraded to the new version yesterday and I'm also having the same problem again when coming out of sleep mode. I'm running a VZW Storm 9530 with Windows XP. Have to restart to get it to receive info.

I have experienced this issue also on Windows 7, restarting the Tether service does not help like you think it would...logging out and back in doesn't work either. You actually have to reboot the PC occasionally.

Tether just sits there registered on the phone and on the desktop but no packets are sent either way...it sits at 0 for every value. Bluetooth is the same when this occurs.

Next time it happens check your system log to see if there are any hints to whats going on...my syslog usually has 20,000 or so entries so I don't bother looking.

Are you guys putting your computer to sleep with Tether running?

Yes..as most of us are running laptops, close the lid Tether'd....open the lid no Tether (and no possibility to tether).

It is rather annoying to reboot simply to get Tether to function after resuming from S1.

So for kicks, I uninstalled it and re-installed it and it seems to work ok now. I think something happened during the upgrade from 1.1.0.1 to 1.1.0.2, so that might be why the sleep function wasn't working.

It's probably recommended to uninstall the old version, reboot and then try a reinstall.

Though the service shows a version a 1.1.0.0 (which made me reinstall thinking that the original install didn't take)

Hope this helps!
