Have new BB 8530 running up-to-date software with Verizon as carrier. Downloaded/installed Tether on both laptop (running XP SP3) and BB. Tether starts up and connects fine using USB on both BB and laptop, however network connection is not active and dialog box says "Network cable disconnected".
WTF??
