When I try to launch Tether on my PC, it appears to launch ok...but when I click on Connect via USB, a Windows Installer tries to launch (msiexec.exe) over and over again.
The only way to get the Windows Installer app to stop trying to launch is to force-quit Tether...and then kill the msiexec.exe process in Task Manager.
I'm guessing it has something to do with the impossible-to-remove Blackberry Desktop software from my old Blackberry...no longer in use.
Any thought on how to get around this?
Thanks.
WindowsXP (SP3)

This is because your blackberry USB drivers have not been installed correctly. Or because they have convinced themselves that the need to update, and wont let you do anything else.
If you can go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and remove all Blackberry related software and , including Tether. Restart your computer and re-install Tether it should work.
