I just upgraded to the new version this morning. I have my MacBook Pro and Verizon BlackBerry Tour sucessfully paired and Tether application is showing that Packets and Data are being sent but no Packets or data are being received and therfore it's not allowing me to connect online. Can someone please assist me as to why it's not working?

The Tether software on the phone is showing:

Smartphone: BlackBerry
Connection: Bluetooth
BlackBerry Pin: 30B3C789
License: Registered
Status: Connected to PC via Bluetooth.

The Tether software on the MacBook is showing:

Smartphone: BlackBerry
Connection Type: Bluetooth
Packets Sent: 496
Packets Received: 0
Data Sent: 0.045
Data Received: 0
Status: Tether Connection Active

MacBook Pro running OS 10.5.8

Tether Version 1.1.0

BlackBerry Tour (Verizon)

There are few of us had experienced same thing, both from Mac and PC user with Bluetooth connection. I have been in touch with support team, and they have been able to duplicated same. Per Stephen, the developer at TetherBerry, they are looking into the cause now, and hopefully to have the fix in coming days.

Same problem here. I'm on the same Mac OS and probably the same BlackBerry OS (4.7.1.57). Any reports from Mac users on the latest leaked OS for the Tour (5.0.0.419)?

This same thing is happening to me in Windows but not just through Bluetooth, it is happening with USB and Bluetooth. I get a "Limited Connectivity" notice in my taskbar. Wish I hadn't upgraded.

You may want to try manually remove the network interface that is created by Tether, and uninstall the tether, then reinstall it.

I have just installed the update - having similar issues as illwillnocca.

1. I am able to connect via bluetooth to my tour
2. Able to connect from MacBook to Tour
3. The only thing I'm not sure of is - do I need to configure the modem settings? or should it just work?

I do have the desktop manager installed.

Any ideas?

No need to configure the bluetooth setting. Tether will make the proper connections as long as the device is paired.

Many of us have experienced "no receiving packets" problem when using Bluetooth connection.

I am also experiencing this problem on my white Macbook running 10.6.2 and my Blackberry Storm 9530 running the 5.0.0.328 OS. Please find a fix for this. I was on the Mac beta earlier in 2009 back when it was Tetherberry and it worked perfectly. Now that I am a paying customer it is not working correctly. That just isn't right.

I have tried with my Tour 9630 on Verizon, both with 4.7.0.61 and 5.0.0.419 on my macbook pro running 10.6.2. I get the no packets received via bluetooth and when I try usb I get "failed to load blackberry interface". I have tried it with Desktop Manager running and without. Also with a couple known working usb cables.

In order for Mac to work with USB connection, you need to REMOVE BB Desktop Manger. just "without running" is not enough. Because with DM installed, the DM driver is running at background which is conflict with Tether network port.

To remove DM, you can simply start the DM install program, and select the "uninstall" option.

upgraded this morning, and everything is working great except the bluetooth outoing transfers... same issue as posted here - no packets or data being recieved. It's understandable that a new upgrade such as this has a few bugs and i'm glad tether support is working on the issue. I've been a customer since it's release and have been very satisfied to date. My USB still works like a charm, so i can wait for the BT fix. I'm on a macbook pro running windows 7 under boot camp w/ BB OS 5 and desktop manager 5 installed - there doesn't seem to be any DM conflict issues on my end. I'm using the BB Storm 9530.

Same issue here...MBP running 10.6.2 with a Storm running .328. It connects up fine, but then no packets received. Love the software, works great with USB, just waiting on a BT fix.

Macbook pro/Tour/Verizon. New version seems to run ok on tour. When I hit "connect" on mac it says that it "Could Not find network adapter". My only option is to exit! Any suggestions?

Open up Tether and update to the latest version people! I just updated to 1.1.01 on my Blackberry Storm 9530 and the bluetooth feature now works. I get packets sent and received. Yes I am so happy now. Thank you Tether for releasing such a quick update that fixed the problem I was having.

I have updated and still have no packets sent or recieved, even though both Mac and BB (Tour) are connected and communicating on Bluetooth OR on USB.
Got no help yet from Tether, starting to get very frustrated.

Hope somebody can find a fix

have you tried to remove the tether on the mac and re-installed the new version?

The current version (1.1.0.1) works flawlessly on mac for bother USB and Bluetooth connection.
