I was able to download the iPhone app before Apple pulled it from the App Store, and I have installed the Mac application on my MacBook running OS X 10.5.8. When launching the Mac application crashes with the error "The Application tproxy quit unexpectedly". Is there anything that can be done to fix this? Are there plans to release an updated version of the Mac application to address this issue?

Could I have you uninstall Tether from your Mac, and then go to our website and try downloading it again? There has been a fix that has been launched.
