Okay, I need help here.
I purchased this product today and am unable to get it working. Im using a BB Curve 8330 on Sprint with Windows Vista. The computer says "Status: Connected to Blackberry" and the phone says "TetherBerry is running". Problem is the computer says "limited connectivity" in the bottom right hand corner where the network connections icon is (by the clock). I cannot access the internet on my computer.
Please help me!!!
I am having somewhat the same problem. Everything says it's connected, but it's a VERY slow connection (Limited Connectivity). I tried a speed test (twice), and it's showing 40-50kbps. The FAQ says it connects at up to 1800kbps. So it's a long way from 50 to 1800!
FYI-
I'm a new user as of a couple days ago. I was able to use without a hitch with default settings. I have a BB 8330 Curve via Sprint. I have only tried via XP Pro SP3. Connection is slower than when I was able to use BB as modem but it does work. I did have initial problem for a few secs but I forgot to disable my wireless card.
I don't mind a little slower (though they say in one of the FAQs on the website that speeds up to 1800kbps have been reported). But at 40-50kbps it's so slow that it's pretty unusable.
I hear there is a sale going on Tetherberry if you use a link through the Crackberry site, till Friday. But with this speed, and with support not answering my support issues, I don't think it's much of a bargain even at $25.
