After a month of use, I started to get a connection failure message stating something about an "illegal channel" and I could not connect to the internet. Also, on my computer, where it usually says "waiting for blackberry connection" it said "looking for tetherberry on blackberry" although I had done nothing different and tetherberry was still installed on my blackberry.
I looked all over for help and found a similar solution someone used for a similar problem on this forum and IT WORKED. Updated to the newest versions of both Desktop Manager and Blackberry Software. It took a couple of hours for the update to complete on my Blackberry, so I couldn't use it during that time, but worth it. Moral of the story, if you're having any connection problems, Give this a try, it may work for your issue as well.
