I owned many Blackberry's over the years and all off them had Tether on them so I could use my phone with my laptop while traveling, well now I finally switched over to an Android phone and find out that I can't move my license from my BB to my Android phone. Not good...so I went and switched to PDAnet because of this. Great way to lose a customer.

Lame! I'm in your shoes, Todd: a Blackberry customer making the switch to Android. I thought it was great that Tether allowed me to transfer my license from device to device, but unexpected based on past experience with other vendors of apps back in my Palm days. But come on! Tether for Android is a whole new application compared to the one you've been using. Why shouldn't they charge for it? And how exactly did they "lose you" as a customer when YOU are the one who chose to switch away from BB? It's not as if you were paying them a monthly subscription fee.

Not good. I thought the license would transfer with me, not my phone. Really disappointing, that we pay for these apps because we support the product. Apps, Ringtones, they are all making money off us as technology keeps changing. I would rather pay a yearly fee than have to keep paying the full price when I change phones.
