I need help for usbclient error

I installed the software on my laptop and phone (8300). I have the proper APN settings and I disabled my network adapter. When I try to start the app on my laptop I get the following error message: USBCLIENT ERROR invalid pointer. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

There a couple people having this issue. Can you download and install the latest BlackBerry USB and Modem drivers from the RIM website and see if that helps?

Also, can you verify that you have a c:\program files\common files\Research in Motion\USB Drivers\BbDevMgr.exe file and can you check what version it is?

I upgraded to the latest version of Desktop Manager and that fixed the problem.
