Downloaded software on both handheld and laptop
Set my pin as 303362db on tetherberry site
bb8830 handheld and Vista with 32bit download from tetherberry
Disabled all adapters and uninstalled drivers and reinstalled
Reset both handheld and laptop
Start program and tetherberry says I'm sending packets and data back and forth
Internet explorer says I'm connected to the internet when I check connections
However, when I go to get on the web, it says "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" indicating that I am not hooked up to the internet. I have done everything suggested in the forums including the adding the dn #s suggested (something like 208.67.222.222 but may not be exact yet the dn # is set precisely to what was suggested) PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!!!

People with this issue seem to be able to resolve it by removing the software from their PC and then going into the Device Manager and making sure all TetherBerry Adapters in the Network Adapters section are gone by right clicking on them and choosing uninstall.

Once it is completely removed re-run the installer.

Could you try a different browser than IE just to see if it is possibly an IE issue.

On your next attempt can you tell me how many packets get sent and how many get received? Could you try changing the DNS back to 192.168.25.1 or obtain automatically?

Could you show me the output of ipconfig /all when you are connected?

Sorry for your troubles
Thanks

I would suggest doing a battery pull on your BlackBerry then trying again.

I have a Curve 8330, new Tether software, and Windows 7, and it's doing that, sort of. I get connected on Blackberry and PC. And I see packets sending, but no packets received (look on the PC app window). But no connection to mail or browser.

I DID find that if I reboot the PC, it fixes it, and I can do it once. But after disconnecting, to reconnect with Tether, I have to reboot again. And rebooting each time I use Tether isn't my idea of a fun day...

Oh, and I also tried the old Tetherberry version on the PC, and it does the same thing. I don't have the old Bberry part anymore, so can't test that.

Please update your windows client to 1.1.0.1

It should help with this issue.

I have the same issues. When I purchased Teher last week, it worked great. The next day, after changing nothing, I can't connect to the net. Packets are being exchanged, but nothing happens. I'm using a Storm with OS 5.0.0.419 and Windows XP. I tried rebooting, battery pulls, etc. and no dice. I haven't tried to uninstall and reinstall, but I was thinking that shouldn't HAVE to be done. Any assistance would be wonderful. It worked so well and quickly that first day.

Do you know what version you're running? Can you please installing the latest version from our website just to make sure you're using the latest copy?

I noticed one issue with Widows 7, ( Never even used vista, but MAY affect that too)

What I noticed is that quite often, after the netbook I use comes out of SLEEP mode, I cannot connect via USB ( I have a driver issue for my bluetooth so I have not got that to work) but after the netbook wakes up from sleep I get Connected, via Tethers desktop app, and the BB app, and all tx/rx numbers are 0's.

I have tried to reboot BB, no work.
I have tried restart apps on BB and netbook, No owrk
What I finnally figured out was a reboot of the netbook. Seems as if when going to sleep mode and wake up, something must happen with the driver for the network interface where it is not transfering packets to the OS/IE, etc.

This might be the PC app not reconnecting to the network driver on wake up? Or driver to system?

I canot say for 100% but I believe this issue popped up on the recent update. 1.1.0.1 Not entirely sure as I only used the previose version for a few days or so.

Hopefully Mr. Tech can look at it.

Can you make sure the Tether service is running, and that TBService.exe is listed in the list of running processes?
