I purchased itether before it was removed from the apple app store, however when I recently went to the apple store for an unrelated problem, they wiped my phone and said that I can't restore from my previously saved "backup file" because it was corrupted. The result was a very long and painful process re-downloading each app that I'd previously purchased from the cloud manually. However, unfortunately iTether isn't available for re-download b/c its no longer in the app store. I complained to apple, and they told me to contact Tether directly for another copy of the app. (It was backed up to iCloud, not my desktop, so I no longer have the actual app file anywhere in my possession...) However, the folks at tether haven't replied to any of my several emails to their "support team"... Any suggestions on how I can get iTether back on my iphone? Any help would be much appreciated.

I am also having this exact problem. I bought the iTerher App and then yesterday my phone froze and I had to do a restore. Is there no way to get the app back? I did pay $15 for it and I really don't want to lose it.

If you go to the iTunes webstore do you not see Tether listed?
If you purchased Tether before it was pulled you would still have access to redownload.

I have the app on my phone but the Mac no longer sees the iPhone. I think the web tether changes things. How do we use it if we were one of the lucky ones to get the app on our phones? Want to use it via USB

iTether is an app created by Tether.com that was temporarily approved into Apple's App Store. Unfortunately, Apple removed iTether from App Store as they said it was a "burden to carriers". Anyone who purchased it during the time it was available can continue to use iTether on their iPhone and computer.
Because of Apple's decision we can no longer make updates to the iPhone iTether application, therefore we are unable to support this aspect of our solution. We still support the computer component.
