BTW Mad props to the guys at tether for developing an awesome product, but I am sure many of you are about to run into the same issue.
I have a Samsung intercept and after a lot of research, there is no known driver for the this phone on the Samsung website for Windows 7 64 bit (complete fail for samsung but I digress).
However there is an alternate way to do this (Hopefuly this site link stays up but I think the Tether guys should consider mirroring this driver)
First goto http://www.mobile-stream.com/beta/SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe and get that file. This will install the drivers necessary to get your windows to pickup the pickup the phone normally.
Make sure your phone is setup to accept non-market apps, to do that go into settings > applications and check off the unknown sources
After you install that go ahead and install the tether application to the computer (as well as your phone tether app as well)
Once both are installed and the phones tether is installed (and registered if you like the software, trust me you will) make sure your phone is in USB debugging mode, to do this go into settings > applications > Development > USB debugging (phone must be disconnected for the phone to turn it on).
You can then plugin your phone via USB and run tether on both the phone and PC. They will start to communicate like a champ!
Enjoy guys.
