Crashes with latest Tether for BB 9550

I have no problems with the previous version of Tether for BB, but when I agree to the latest upgrade within a few hours my 9550 crashes hard and continues to crash 1-2 times per day. I have tried this on 5.0.0.1015 and 5.0.0.1082. My screen goes white and requires a battery pull to get it to reboot. The screen displays:

with a RESET button that doesn' work. I put this to the support group a few days ago but no one responded as far as I can tell.

Could I have you clear your browser's cache and cookies, and then try Tether again?

I assume you mean the cache on my phone's browser. Since I don't use my phone's browser very often and I did a clean install of 3 operating systems (which completely wipes the device), I don't see how that can have any effect. However, I will reinstall Tether from Desktop Manager, clear the browser cache, and upgrade to the latest version of Tether. It can take up to 24 hours for the crash to present itself but will pull a log when it does.

I cleared cache and cookies on the BB and then reloaded Tether and upgraded to the latest version. My BB crashed again this morning. I was not running Tether at the time. I checked the Tether log and it has nothing in it except the original registration, trying carrier specific APN, no carrier specific APN, trying direct, connecting via USB, first connection, etc.

The phone event log has 8 pages of data that look like this:
