Does Tether use one connection for everything or create a new connection for different web browsres/outlook etc.... If there are multiple connection to tether over the blackberry are made, it would be good to have a Active Connection Count in the tether window between Connection Type & Packets Sent.
Additional Suggestion, if a user tries to send mail on port 25 it is blocked. I have not come across this since I don't send e-mail on port 25 but a nice popup from tether when a porgram attempts to use this port would be nice. Something that say "A program has attempted to send e-mail on port 25, this activity is blocked, please use an alternative outbound port (Port 587) or use a secure outbound connection."
If someone is not sending e-mail on their computer this would instantly alert them to a virus/etc.

Those are good suggestions.
I am not sure of the internals of Tether but I believe that there are multiple connections made.
I'm not sure Tether could warn you when an application makes an attempt to use a specific port, this seems more the job of firewall software.
