I have tried downloading Tether SEVERAL times now and am about to just give up. I am operating on Windows XP Home and have a BB Storm 2 (9550). When I connect the Storm to the computer and run tether to both it says Connected to Blackberry on the tether program on the computer. On the blackberry it says Tether is Running but isnt' really connected to the internet. I am using Verizon Wireless so from what I understand I do not need to change anything with the APN settings. When I look under network connections it has a red X on the Tether Network Connection. All other connections are disabled, and I've deleted all of the possible ones. The screen shot posted shows that the Verizon connection is connected only because I needed to post this....when using tether it usually says Not connected.
I'm sure the answer is out there if I wanted to search through 1500 other messages :) I'm not real computer savy so easy on me!!!

Uninstall the Verizon software and try Tether again, there seems to be a possible conflict.
