I am a Tether user from Blackberry. I have tried for several days to get Tether installed.
It all goes wrong when I am installing the desktop software and it tells me to plug the phone in for the driver install. I have the USB debugging turned on and I select "charge only" on the screen that appears on the EVO as indicated in instructions I have found.
The driver is never installed and the installation of the desktop software fails.
I need help!

We are having the same problem, getting tether to install on Samsung Sprint Android. says driver would not download on Windows 7 equipped laptop.... What do we do??
I contacted support and they offered no help with my HTC EVO issue, but rather told me to go to forums. I cannot get my Evo to work with tether. I do have HTC Sync installed but I am now trying it with that uninstalled. Blackberry worked flawlessly, but HTC is tremendously difficult or touchy. Please advise
