I done both to no avail...
I'm running vista 32...
And a 8330 curve...OS v. 4.5.0.131...
Do you have all of your network adapters turned off, other then our network adapter?
Yes...
Doubled and triple checked...
We'll... there is a dial up connection that doesn't have an option to disable it anywhere that I saw?...
By the looks of everything it SHOULD be working...everything is saying it is connected...
Its sending out packects...but not receiveing them...open my browser and it just times out...done a test on the connection and windows says there was no response when it pinged your servers...
I have forwarded this to our engineer. He will not respond until tomorrow.
Are you running it as an administrator on the PC? Also, did you setup the correct APN settings for your device. i.e. what is your carrier?
Thanks
Yes...I am running it as administrator...
My carrier is bluegrass cellular...
Its a small company in my area...
Not sure on the apn settings?...
Hi,
I've never heard of bluegrass cellular. Do you know if they are owned by a bigger provider? I can't seem to find them in my list.
You may need to give them a call and ask them what their APN settings are.
We are hoping to become a member of the BlackBerry Developer Alliance (if we get approved). If we get in, that will give us the ability to make our App use the BISB infrastructure which will remove the need for users to set any APN settings.
Let me know if I can help out further.
Ok thanks...I will look into it...
I can tether now through bluegrass...but was thinking maybe this would be faster?...
Anyway...thanks again...
I'm having the exact problem via my carrier, Cellcom in Northeastern Wisconsin. If I were to get my APN setting, where do those get configured. Also, are APN settings something the carrier is going to give to me without any problems? Thanks.
Just a follow up...
It is working now...
At speedtest.net I am getting around 400-500 kbps...
I'm thinking the network adapter may not have been removed properly. You should open device manager, expand network adapters and right click on the TetherBerry adapter and uninstall. Also make sure to check the remove the software attached with this device. Once that is done, try re-installing it again.
Try rebooting your PC and a battery pull on your phone.
Can you provide more details about your system and phone?
