I just did it while on meebo.com. I received a text and was still able to chat, but when I picked up a call it dropped my connection temporarily and then it came right back up as soon as I hung up!! w00t!

Yes, but your internet connection will pause until you are done talking and hang up.
You don't need to restart TetherBerry on the phone or the PC after you hang up, it should just continue to work.
