I have two Boostmobile Samsung Prevails rooted with stock roms. Both have Tether on them and work well for the most part untill today. I can not access either one of the links below. The IE 8 browser on my netbook becomes unresponsive. I can access the sites from within the browser on the phones. I can also access the sites using the wifi hot spot function on the phones also but not with Tether. I prefer using Tether because the through put is slightly faster. Is Boostmoble/Sprint sniffing out the non mobile browser usage by Tether and blocking?

Sites in question:

In Addition today, 8/18/11, I tried placing an order at Rock Auto auto parts on an https page and the site would block/dump me. Switched to my rooted wifi hotspot app and it worked fine. Again, is Boostmoblile/Sprint sniffing out certain online uses and blocking Tether or is this an issue with Tether? I am a CNE and have done all the "fix's" to try and resolve this issue to no avail.

Hello,

Tether is designed to allow you to use your smart phone as a modem to access the internet on your PC using your smart phone data plan. We have a lot of customers on Boost Mobile and on Sprint who use Tether without any problems. Could you email help@tether.com for more troubleshooting assistance?
