Windows XP Pro, Storm 9530, USB Bluetooth Dongle. My laptop and the dongle are paired. All internet connnections have been disabled. Storm reports,"Waiting for Bluetooth Connection." Tether on laptop reports,"Checking WIDCOMM" and "SOCKET ERROR (10108)". Any help would be appreciated. I am a bluetooth novice.

Only Microsoft Bluetooth stacks for Widcomm are supported by Tether. You can try to remove the vendor bluetooth device drive and see if your bluetotth dongle supported by Widcomm drive and microsoft stacks.
