BB - PC stopped connecting

Been using tether for couple of years now and love it. Works great internationally as well if you have that kind of plan.

Suddenly I am experiencing the BB connecting normally with good data exchange. Tether connects normally. The PC interface appears to also launch and connect fine. Data only shows going out and 0 received.

I have tried rebooting device and computer and no change. I even reinstalled the software but no change (new download to ensure latest version). Changing usb ports didn't change anything.

Even now, I am showing connected through tether but it has 0 data receive and won't work. But even while connected I am using the BB to send this so to prove the data is good.

Hope there is a solution.

I am in Qatar. My carrier is Sprint (through Qtel). I have the BB Bold.

Hi James.

I've been having the exact same issue for around 2 months now. Plenty of packets being sent, but nothing being received.

Let me assure you; this is not Tether's fault. I promise! I have tried a competitor's tethering application, but it gives similar trouble. I can only get either working correctly after turning my radio off and on a few times, or by rebooting my BB using QuickPull.

I got my first BB near the end of October last year, and up until maybe mid-/late-November it worked absolutely flawlessly. I can only imagine that RIM have implemented a measure to block abuse of BIS. Some days I can't get packets no matter what, and other days it works without hassle.

I'm still trying to figure out if it's just a problem on my BB, but I've been unsuccessful for so long; I'm beginning to believe it's a RIM thing.

I have the same issue with Blackberry 9700 ver. 6.0 and the latest Tether down loads for PC and BB. No received data.

Helloo everyone.. Hope everyone is doing well..

My tether was working pretty well, but it suddenly stopped working a few days ago..

My Tether on the PC doesn't say much apart from that it has connected, it shows packets being sent but not received. It doesn't show any errors..

64-bit operating system.. my tether worked well for few months but suddenly stopped working..

It seems funny that these people stopped working when the new Tether Proxy was put into service. A coincidence?

Please uninstall tether from both phone & pc.
Power off & power on both phone & PC.
Keep USB cable disconnect.

Please install tether on your pc.
http://tether.com/t/setupdrv.exe (This version installs the BlackBerry USB drivers so use it if you do not have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed. )
or
http://tether.com/t/setup.exe (use it if you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.& working okay)
