I have a Verizon BB9550 (Storm2) that Tether will not find under bluetooth. For my application, I need the bluetooth connection as the phone sits in a charge/antenna cradle. I did not have a problem with this using the VZW software.
Tether is running on the phone, and on the computer, it starts its connection between the phone and the PC app, but I will see a quick socket 10180? error and even though it shows my phone to select from in the PC app, it ultimatly says tether was not found on the device.
I have no problems via USB, but I cannot use USB in my application. This does this on two PC's with the same results.
If your Bluetooth does not use the WIDCOM and/or Microsoft native driver and stacks, it won't work with Tether.
