It would be nice if Tether could be configured to run in the background at startup on the Blackberry, and configured to see the laptop computer being available on Bluetooth, and automatically tether to it.
Likewise, it would be nice for the PC Tether software to run as a service in the background, and automatically connect by Bluetooth when it sees the Blackberry with Tether running on it.
This way, using Tether can be an automatic process, with a similar experience to being connected to a wifi hotspot.

I am in total agreement with you on this one and just sent in a suggestion. I have problems when there are a lot of bluetooth enabled devices in the area, and if my phone is not on top of the list, the connection is not made.
It should be similar to a phone to GPS and as you stated a hotspot.
